Hey David thanks for the food for thought. With regards to the idea of evolving an AGI, I read about a combination of Genetic Algorithms and Spiking networks (more biologically realistic networks) as a potential framework to develop Artificial General Intelligence. Any thoughts on whether or not this seems like a viable path considering the concepts you discussed like heuristics and emergence? Cheers!
